Jean Coales is a Northamptonshire based ceramic artist who produces beautiful vivid designs using the tube lining method, each piece is unique. Jean draws the intricate design on each piece using a fine nibbed pen filled with liquid slip clay, the shapes she creates are then painted in with a variety of glazes before firing.

Inspiration for Jean's work comes from a variety of sources including art deco, Clarice Cliffe and Moorcroft although she has very much created her own individual style.

Jean produces a range of pieces that are both decorative and functional.
