About the maker
Buckinghamshire jewellery maker Lynne Lane, specialises in creating beautiful individual hand crafted dichroic and fused glass pendants and earrings. She combines different colours and textures in her work, the nature of the process means that no two pieces are ever alike. The pendants are presented on a nickel plated chain, the stud earrings have non-alergenic stainless steel posts, the drop earrings have silver plated wires and the clip on earrings have silver plated fasteners. The cufflinks have silver plated swivel arms.
Dichroic glass has it's earliest origins back as far as Roman times when glass was combined with gold and silver. Today's glass is a composite of glass and fine metal sheets, different combinations allow light to reflect differently and so create the effect of the glass changing colour when it moves.
Lynne also produces small fused glass standing panels and hanging pieces and dishes, the collection in the gallery is ever changing.
